Meditation and Decharging with Nature
How to heal yourself with meditation and nature
Part of my healing took place as I practised a technique from John Gray's book, "How to get what you want and want what you have". This involves putting your hands just above shoulder level and repeating the following mantra, "Oh God, my heart is open to you, please come sit in my heart". You say this for each fingertip.
You say the mantra for each fingertip giving each one a little wiggle. You may feel heat or a tingling sensation after a few weeks or months of practice. Each fingertip contains a chakra for receiving energy . When you are asking God into your heart you are drawing natural energy in through your fingertips.
Also in the Indian tradition also your thumb is the Earth, your index finger is the Fire, the middle is Sky, the ring finger is Water and the small finger is Air.
Performing this meditation technique helped me and transcend and dissolve some of my emotional and spiritual blockages. It helped me to then come back to my natural states of love, confidence and happiness. I was then able to connect with divine peace, intelligence and creativity to help align myself with Gods energy.
Whenever you need peace, whenever you have a problem, whenever you need more confidence and clarity you can practice this technique. It really helps. When you beg God, "I really need your help, I really want you to come in my heart, I really want to connect with you, please help me, please make me happy" the energy starts flowing. All you need is an open heart.
As you meditate many thoughts come up. This is natural. But keep on coming back to the mantra. When you are drawing in the energy your intention is, I really want God, I want to feel the energy, I want to dissolve my problems in love and find creative solutions, I want to know the energy, I want to experience God, I want creativity, I want clarity, I want to transcend into peace and deeper love. I really want to merge with this deep peace. This is what asking God into your heart means.
One of the most beautiful experiences in my life was doing the Five Elements Process by Swami Kaleshwar. This is a meditation process of charging each of the 5 elements in you.
Decharging Negative Energy with the Five Elements
Going swimming, taking a walk in the nature, walking barefoot on grass or sand, or sitting by a camp fire are just several ways of decharging negative energy through the five elements. Negative energy is just blocked or excess energy that needs to flow. Negative energy can be stress, frustration, anxiety or anger for instance. Nature makes you feel closer to God, because God's energy is flowing in the nature. Nature is healing.
My favourite is to use the aura of plant for decharging. John Gray gives a good technique from his book for this. You take a plant, point your fingers near it and say the mantra, "Oh God, my heart is open to you, please come. I know you are in this plant. Please use this plant to decharge my negative energy. Thanks". Depression, anxiety and stress will flow out through your fingertips into the earth/plant. You also have a second chakra in each fingertip for giving or sending out energy. The plant takes this energy and uses it in a positive way. The earth, nature and plants can bring huge peace and happiness. Hugging trees is also very powerful. The earth also helps open your heart. It allows you to live on earth happily.
The fire element has the highest capacity to burn negative energy. Once your soul is purified and attached to the element of fire, it is pretty hard for any negativity to stay with you. It simply gets burnt. Negative people can not really affect you any more. The fire element is a reflection of Gods light. The sun also has a huge healing capacity. You can send your problems into the fire. I used to sit by the fire at home when I was very young and it was very healing. The most beautiful thing is sitting by a camp fire. Sacred fire ceremonies called yagyas are performed in India to create powerful protection circles around people and to fulfil their desires. The Fire element can bring high positive energy. You can decharge in the same way using a candle for instance.
The Sky (Space) element is the Shiva element because of it's infinity. It is said that through the Sky you can connect to the angels and receive healing power. Once you have a deep connection to the sky you can start connecting with the angels. When you are meditating in the nature, pots of energy (angels) can build up like a magnetic whirlwind of energy. You can magnetise your soul through the Sky to pull this energy in you. When the energy comes your body may start to shake. This is the symptom that you are charged with the Sky element. It is said that through the Sky element you can communicate with the angels and various souls, in a kind of telepathic way.
Have you ever had a shivery feeling come over you when someone says or does something that is touching? A shivery feeling may come over you that makes your body start to shake a little. That it the symptom of an angel. For example if I am thinking of you and I say from the bottom of my heart "I really Love you" the energy may reach you and you may get this shivery feeling. It means that an angel has carried the message to you, "I Love you". It may even manifest like a voice on the telephone.
When I was very young me and my friends used to love going swimming during the weekend. Not only was it a fun social thing, but it was essential for decharging a weeks worth of negativity. Being in the water helped wash away the poison absorbed from other people. All the stress and all the negativity can just be washed out by being in the water. Water helps create high vibrations. It purifies and balances energy and emotions. Water is also nurturing.
Through the air you can receive a lot of energy. The angels are said to be in the wind. The wind contains huge pots of energy. Breathing in pure fresh air in nature helps make the mind peaceful and controlled. There are certain techniques for mastering the breath. Once you are charged properly with the air element you can send your energy, blessings anywhere and heal people over long distances. The air represents the controlled and peaceful mind.
